The included 75-litre woven grow bags provide excellent drainage and aeration, encouraging healthy root development and strong tuber production. Unlike traditional garden beds, grow bags make it easy to plant, maintain, and harvest your crop, while allowing you to position your potatoes in the sunniest location available.
To help maximise plant health and productivity, this pack includes Seasol Trilogy 631 and PowerFeed Potato Plus Fertiliser. Together they support strong root development, healthy foliage growth, improved nutrient uptake, and vigorous potato production throughout the growing season. Combined with the included gardening gloves and plant labels, you’ll have everything you need to get your potato-growing project underway.

Perfect For Growing different varieties of Potatoes – simply grab yourself some potting mix (organic is better) and plant your potatoes.
**Suggested instructions below:
Use a mix of 50% Compost and 50% Potting Mix
- First put in a layer of mix at the bottom of the bag. Around 100-150mm.
- Then place 3 Potatoes in a triangle shape to give them as much space as possible between each potato and the side of the bag. If you plant potatoes with ‘EYES’ already shooting, it will reduce the overall time.
- Next add another 100-150mm of mix to cover the potatoes.
- Water in the mix with the Trilogy each week or two. (It is more beneficial to water the soil with Seasol Trilogy rather than the foliage.)
- As the green shoots come up, keep adding more mix to chase the shoots up. This effectively adds more ‘stem’ that will be underneath the mix, where the new potatoes will grow. Continuing to do this until the bag is eventually full of mix is how you get the best and most plentiful Potatoes from each plant.
- You can also add a small amount blood and bone or organic fertiliser to the mix each time you add a layer if you choose.
Water regularly and unlike many other plant varieties, you don’t want to let the mix dry out completely.
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO START HARVESTING THE POTATOES?
Generally the leaves will start to turn yellow on a healthy plant when it is time to start harvesting. The leaves will start to drop off. This happens anywhere from about 3 months to 5 months after planting.
