Kale sprouts are a nutrient dense food; high in fibre and naturally low in calories. They are a good source of vitamins A, B, C, E and K and trace elements such as Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Carotene, Zinc and Chlorophyll. 

Kale sprouts are also a great addition to many meals! They have a mild, nutty flavour and are a great addition to sandwiches, salads, and vegetables, plus they’re a great source of essential nutrients. By growing your own sprouts you maximise on these benefits – no sitting on a supermarket shelf!

They are free from various undesirable additives such as added sugar, gluten, wheat, artificial flavours, preservatives, colouring, peanuts, nuts, monosodium glutamate (MSG), hydrolysed vegetable protein (HVP), animal by-products, artificial fertilisers, pesticides, synthetically produced substances, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and genetic engineering (GE).

Postage

Seed Packs are sent in a large letter untracked unless multiple items are purchased. Combo Packs with glass Sprouter (or Glass Sprouter alone) include a tracking number for you to follow the delivery progress.

How to sprout from home

Sprouting your own sprouts is easy – no green thumb required!

Super Sprouter Germinator 

1. Get your Super Sprouter Germinator
2. Rinse the seeds thoroughly in fresh water and soak for 4-8 hours.
3. Pour in 1 Tablespoon of seeds per jar
4. Rinse seeds 2-3 times daily
5. Store in a shady place on your kitchen bench – they don’t need direct sunlight as the jar will heat up (best germinated at temperatures between 18 – 22 degrees)
6. Wait 3-6 days and enjoy your home grown, organic Kale sprouts straight from the jar!
7. Rinse jar and repeat.

There are instructions on the back of the sprouting seeds packet detailing soaking time, rinses per day, and approx. germination time. The Super Sprouter Germinator also comes with step by step instructions on how to get the best possible results – we recommend you refer to these when beginning sprouting.

Seedling punnets/trays

There is no one ‘best way’ to sprout your own seeds using seedling trays/punnets – we recommend doing your research and trialing out some different techniques until you find what works best for you! Make sure to soak the seeds for the specified hours before sprouting, and for best results sow seeds thinly. Please note: for this method you will need some type of soil medium to sprout the seeds in – the jar method above just requires the seeds and daily rinsing.
